The Lebanese army has dismantled “more than 90 percent” of the military infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah group in the area south of the Litani River, near the border with Israel, since the ceasefire came into effect, a security source told Agence France-Presse on Wednesday.

The source, who requested anonymity, said: “We have completed the dismantling of more than 90 percent of the infrastructure in the area south of the Litani. There may still be sites we are unaware of, but if we discover them, we will take the necessary measures.” He added: “Hezbollah has withdrawn and said, ‘Do what you want’… There is no longer a military structure for the group south of the Litani.”
